ABOUT THE DESIGN – This packaging was designed for a hypothetical storefront, Kaley’s Kitchen, a local bakery in Spokane, WA, that sells various baked goods. Inspired by the challenge of creating a triangular-shaped box (and a love for pumpkin pie), I set out to design a package that local foodies couldn't resist.

The design of the pie slice box and branding features three different warm colors, which are representative of the sights and smells you would be greeted with upon entering the bakery. The yellow icons are subtly symbolic of wheat used for baking and the heart that goes into each one of the bakery’s sweet treats.

Because of the stylized and hip nature of the company, I chose to give the top piece of the pie box a perfectly rounded scalloped edge. This edging was added to provide character, mimic the crimps often seen on pie crust, and show that this bakery is all about the little details! Additionally, the package features a plastic window on top allowing customers to see their delicious deserts before taking them on the go!
